THE TREASURE & DISCOVERY REPORT

ISSUE NO. 1 • THIS MONTH: SUNKEN TREASURE

VERIFIED • FEATURED FIND

Classical-Era Greek Shipwreck Found Off Andros.

Greece’s Ministry of Culture confirmed a Classical-era shipwreck off the island of Andros, carrying more than 600 amphorae.

CATEGORY SPOTLIGHT: SUNKEN TREASURE

Sunken treasure hunting is diving with a purpose — shipwrecks, lost cargo, and centuries of things the ocean floor never gave back. It’s not a deep-sea operation requiring a research vessel or a six-figure budget. A huge share of what’s findable sits in water reachable with a snorkel, or at most a basic Open Water certification and a rental tank.

BLOG HIGHLIGHT — MY WHITE WHALE

Every serious treasure hunter has one obsession sitting just beyond the edge of certainty. For me, that’s the San Fernando — a ship the maps suggest is real and the records confirm existed, but has never been officially located.

“Most treasure is never found. Not because it isn’t there — but because nobody went looking.”
